Janice Jordan

Janice joined Marimn Health in 2017 and has served as the Medical Operations Director and the Chief Clinical Officer before taking on the role of CEO in March 2022.

Janice has a wealth of experience in hospital and healthcare management and operations. Prior to joining Marimn Health, she was the co-owner of a family medicine practice in Spokane and also served as the Vice President of Operations for the Community Health Association of Spokane. Janice spent twelve years working as a licensed Physician Assistant in both primary care and urgent care. She has sixteen years of professional nursing experience including acute care, intensive care, emergency, and labor and delivery.

Janice has an associate degree in nursing, as well as a bachelor of science degree from Lewis-Clark State College. She later graduated from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences as a Physician Assistant. In addition, she holds an Executive Master in Business Administration from the University of Idaho.

Chief Financial Officer

Paul Bergland

Paul Bergland is the Chief Financial Officer for Marimn Health. As such, Paul oversees the reporting and budgeting of approximately $10,000,000 in grant and contract dollars at Marimn Health. Paul’s team of financial staff manage the entirety of Marimn Health’s contracts and ensure compliance with all federal grants and reporting requirements.

Paul is a licensed Certified Public Accountant who previously served as a former audit manager in a national public accounting firm.

Paul received dual degrees in Professional Accounting and Management Information Systems from Eastern Washington University. In his free time, Paul enjoys snowmobiling  and spending time with his family.

Chief Strategy Officer

Heather Keen

Heather is the Chief Strategy Officer for Marimn Health. As such, she is responsible for managing and implementing special projects including construction and development, developing community partnerships, and managing all communications and public relations activities for the medical center and wellness center. She also oversees our Information Technology, Grants, and Purchased and Referred Care Departments as well as the Wellbriety program. Previously, she served as the Strategic Development Director for the organization.

Heather brings nearly 20 years of experience in public relations, communications, and government. Prior to joining the team at Marimn Health, she served as the Public Relations Director and primary spokesperson for the Coeur d’Alene Tribe for six years. In addition, Heather managed the Tribe’s philanthropic giving and community partnerships, worked closely on legislative initiatives affecting the Tribe, and facilitated collaborative relationships between the Tribe and local and regional organizations.

Prior to working for the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, Heather worked with companies and organizations throughout the northwest, assisting them with public affairs, government relations, and communications issues. In addition to her experience in the private sector, Heather has an intimate knowledge of the federal government having worked in Washington, D.C. as a legislative assistant and policy adviser within the United States Congress.

Heather holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Idaho and graduated with honors from Colorado State University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science.  She is involved in the Coeur d’Alene community and has previously served on the national board of directors for for SheJumps, as well as several local nonprofit boards, including the Ray & Joan Salvation Army Kroc Center, the North Idaho Centennial Trail Foundation, the United Way of North Idaho, and the Kootenai County Young Professionals. She is a graduate of Leadership Coeur d’Alene 2017. Heather was honored to be named as one of the Idaho Business Review’s Women of the Year award in 2020 and 2022.

In her spare time, Heather and her husband enjoy the outdoors and can often be found hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, or backpacking with their dog.

Chief Clinical Officer & Medical Director

Marilou Gonzalez

Dr. Gonzalez attended medical school at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii and provided adult, pediatric, prenatal, OB/GYN and in-patient hospitalist services at Crow/Northern Cheyenne Indian Health Services Hospital in Crow Agency Montana before coming to Marimn Health. Dr. Gonzalez currently serves on the Idaho Academy of Family Physicians board of directors. She was raised in a military family and grew up in Hawaii. Dr. Gonzalez’s idea of fun is traveling with her family, reading, and eating shaved ice (preferably at the beach).

Behavioral Health Director & Clinician

Angie Delio

Angie Delio has a heart for helping our community heal, collectively and individually. A licensed clinical social worker, Angie’s compassionate and empathetic approach to treatment is informed in her own struggles with healthcare and her own personal experiences of living through trauma. When working with patients Angie prefers Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavioral therapies. Her forward-looking approach to healing emphasizes strength-based solutions and changing thought patterns into positive actions.

Angie understands the importance of incorporating culture into the healing process. In addition to providing individual and group counseling services, she leads the Mending Broken Hearts group, which focuses on culturally-based healing from unresolved grief and intergenerational trauma, especially for native people. She frequently works with the youth on the reservation and has adapted the Healing of the Canoe curriculum for the Coeur d’Alene Tribal School.

As the Behavioral Health lead for Marimn Health’s EMERGE program, Angie provides one-on-one counseling and SUD treatment to the patients in the EMERGE program. EMERGE works to help new and expecting mothers to overcome addiction and provides help with the challenges of recovery, pregnancy, and parenting.

Angie plays a key role in Marimn Health’s Suicide Prevention efforts on the Coeur d’Alene Reservation. She is the primary trainer for the QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) suicide prevention response model in the community and provides QPR training in the local schools.

Angie is a previous winner of the Marimn Health Service Excellence Award for consistently excelling and providing the highest quality care to our patients. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Boise State University.

In her spare time, Angie loves to hike and read, but her favorite time is the time she spends with her family.

Human Resources Director

Stacey Dunn

Stacey has been the Human Resources Director for Marimn Health since 2011.

She grew up in Cheney, WA and spent much of her childhood on the lakes of northern Idaho.  She graduated from Cheney High School in 1998 and received her Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon in 2001.

Stacey began her career with Cintas Corporation in their Management Trainee Program where she supervised a culturally-diverse production facility in Yakima, WA.  After two years, Stacey was promoted to the Service Training Coordinator position, where she discovered how much she enjoyed the role of Human Resources and decided to enroll in an MBA program, with an emphasis in Human Resource Management to make a big career change.

In 2006, Stacey decided that her heart was in service and left the “corporate world” to get into the non-profit world.  She moved back to Spokane and took a position as a Human Resources Assistant with SL Start, a disability services company where she supported HR Assistants in locations all over Washington and Idaho.

After 5 years there, Stacey began working in Human Resources with Marimn Health and the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, and she has never looked back.  She considers her move to Marimn Health to work with this amazing facility and community the best move she’s ever made and hopes to be of service to Marimn Health and the Coeur d’Alene Tribe for many years.  She lives in Spokane, s l o w l y renovating her husband’s childhood home with her two sons and many crazy pets!

Clinical Operations Director

Hayley Kuntz

Hayley Kuntz was born and raised here in North Idaho and obtained her Bachelors of Science in Health Care Administration from Grand Canyon University. Hayley comes from an Ophthalmology background and has worked in this industry for about 9 years and recently managed a local Ophthalmology practice in Spokane, WA. In Hayley’s spare time she enjoys camping, snowboarding, and boating, with her husband Kolten and mini Aussie, Riggley.

Wellness Services Director

Peter Mahoney

Peter Mahoney  is a proud Coeur d’Alene Tribal Member who grew up with his family here in Plummer, ID. He earned his Associates in Exercise Science and Recreation Management from Haskell University in Lawrence, Kansas, and later returned home to earn his Bachelor’s from the University of Idaho. Peter served as a Tribal Health Authority Board Member for several years before joining the organization.

In previous years, Peter worked with our Wellness Center fitness department, as well as the Diabetes Prevention Program, and the hnqhestnet Program. In each position he focused on the health and wellbeing of our patients young and elderly through cultural activities and healthy foods. Most recently, Peter was the Culture Resources Protection Program Manager for the Coeur d’Alene Tribe where he focused on culture-based outreach and education activities here on the reservation, in local cities and schools, and even on the government level.

By nature, Peter is a storyteller and a servant leader. He is passionate about family, learning and teaching others about his people’s culture, and helping individuals find who they are in life. In his spare time, Peter loves spending time with his wife, Danielle, and their four children – Angelica, Olivia, Jasper, and Hazel. He also enjoys traveling with his family, hunting, fishing, and cooking for his family and friends. He and his family also operate a small farm where they raise chickens, pigs, turkeys, and produce microgreens.

Facilities Director

Wes Rice

Wes, originally from Burley, Idaho, developed a strong work ethic from a young age. He began his early work experience at his father’s concrete plant and during his youth Wes regularly operated heavy equipment and worked a summer job as a bait boy on a fishing boat, providing him with the opportunity to explore the South Atlantic.

Throughout his career, Wes has acquired diverse skills and licenses, including EMT-A and CNA licenses, along with serving as a captain in a volunteer fire department. Holding licenses in water and wastewater management, he has also gained extensive experience in various construction fields and assumed leadership roles in customer service.

Wes’s professional journey led him to become a superintendent for small cities in North Idaho before eventually joining Marimn Health.

Wes, his wife Diana, and their four great kids have lived in St. Maries for the past 13 years.

Dental Director & DDS

Taylor Wilkens

Dr. Taylor Wilkens has a long history in north Idaho and eastern Washington. He first moved to Spokane from Florida in 1985 after his father completed his residency in family medicine.

Dr. Wilkens attended Walla Walla University where he earned his undergraduate degree in biology. He moved to California to attend dental school at Loma Linda University. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2012.

His primary focus at Marimn Health is improving the overall oral health of the community by emphasizing prevention practices as well as treating disease by providing the highest quality dental care possible.

Dr. Wilkens met his wife while they were both in school at Loma Linda University. They were married during his first year of dental school and have two boys who are 13 months apart.

Dr. Wilkens loves nearly any activity that involves the lake. He enjoys hiking, mountain biking, camping, visiting new places, and spending time with his family.

Executive Administrative Assistant

Courtney Bierce

In her role as Executive Assistant, Courtney coordinates and provides administrative support to the CEO and Executive Team of Marimn Health. Prior to this role Courtney served as the Wellness Services Membership Manager for both the Coeur Center and Wellness Centers where she was responsible for general day to day operations, with a primary focus on front desk, concession stand operations, field and facility reservations and scheduling, also managing memberships and billing for both facilities. She has been a team member of Marimn Health since October 2004; beginning her career with the organization in Membership Services at the Wellness Center front desk.

She is a lifelong community member who grew up on the Coeur d’Alene Reservation, attending and graduating from Lakeside High School in 2001. She has studied both Paralegal Studies and Business Management at North Idaho College. Courtney holds a special place in her heart for the Coeur d’Alene Tribe and remains passionate about creating a safe place for, and serving, the youth in our community. Courtney enjoys spending time with her children, travelling, homemaking, crafting, true crime documentaries, and all genres of music.
